Pricing questions
- Is the Free plan really free forever?
- Yes. No credit card, no time limit. The cap is 5,000 banner views per calendar month — that covers most new and small Shopify stores. The cap is soft: the banner keeps rendering even if you go over, so you never become non-compliant due to billing.
- What's the difference between monthly and annual billing?
- Identical features, identical product — only the billing interval changes. Annual billing saves you up to 17% (effectively two months free per year). You're billed once for the full year via the standard Shopify Billing API. Pick monthly if you want maximum flexibility, annual if you're confident the app fits your stack.
- What happens after the 7-day trial?
- Shopify charges your store via the standard Shopify Billing API on day 8 — at the monthly or annual rate you selected. You can cancel anytime from the pricing page inside the app — no support ticket needed. Cancellations move you back to the Free plan with no data loss.
- Can I change plans or billing intervals later?
- Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or switch between monthly and annual at any time from inside the app. Plan changes appear in your Shopify charge history exactly like any other Shopify-billed app.
- What counts as a 'banner view'?
- We count distinct browser-hours that loaded the banner. One visitor with three tabs open across an hour counts once. This is more honest than 'pageviews' and consistently lower than what Google Analytics will show you.
- Do you offer refunds?
- Shopify processes all charges. Refund requests for the most recent monthly cycle are handled through Shopify's standard refund flow on a case-by-case basis. For annual plans, we'll prorate by remaining months on request — email support@consentico.com.
